Digital Media I Simple Video Project

This project is designed as an introduction to video production for high school students who have never done video. Students will form a production team and plan and create a 1:00 video of their choice. They can choose from music video, news show, sports commentary, movie trailer, commercial or PSA. The software used was iMovie and Adobe Premiere Pro, although the success of the project is not dependent on the type of software used. This project is designed to teach team building skills, time management and organizational skills. Extra credit opportunity is available by providing a budget with a breakdown of expenses, profits and losses. Materials: camcorders, editing software, DVD burner
