Brand New Beverage w/Vending Machine Poster for Display Digital Asset by Susan Bromirski Apr 29, 2017 Products Photoshop Illustrator 13 0

Conceiving a brand new product requires brainstorming, research, design, and branding and marketing ideas. Students also need to think of needs that aren't being met yet. It's a tall order, but there seems to be no limit to the options the market desires and will provide. Here is a digital mockup of a brand new beverage. Students will need to understand the type tool and how to manipulate type with gradients and strokes, effects, how to move letters independent of each other in outline mode, and even understand how to create and include illustrated elements. This file can be taken apart and new graphics applied. This doesn't include and image wrap effect or manipulation. It is flat with gradient overlays to create a more 3D appearance. Pretty easy and straight-forward. I've done this assignment in different ways over the years. Sometimes I've had students design a paper label and we created mockups with real soda cans and had photoshoots, created simple 'spec' sheets. The next step is to market the idea through advertising. This can be done in Illustrator or Photoshop. I've often used it as a transitional assignment going from predominantly Illustrator-based assignments to predominantly Photoshop-based assignments. An is included here too.

This video assists novice photography students with some of the most basic elements of composition. Although the tutorial does not talk about specific software. One should keep in mind that almost all photographs are edited, and that editing is a means to improve compositions further. So, whether you use Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, or Lightroom to organize and edit your photos; you will first need good compositions to work with.

Quotation Project Lesson Plan by NICOLE DALESIO Apr 10, 2017 Products Adobe Spark Photoshop Lightroom 87 1

This project was designed as a collaboration between Los Gatos High School English teacher Tiffany Hamm and Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High Schools District Technology Integration Specialist Nicole Dalesio. As part of an interdisciplinary Social Justice course, Tiffany and Nicole challenged students to create these striking images to highlight inspirational and historically-significant quotations. Each student created his or her own poster using Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Spark Post. Then, Tiffany and Nicole printed the posters and displayed them around the school campus. The goal was to both assess student learning about content-area themes, and to raise awareness on campus about the importance of social justice.
