About this collection of 7th grade science projects

The Adobe for Education team curated these resources from the hundreds of free science projects available on the Adobe Education Exchange. These materials are wide-ranging — some are projects, some are short lessons, and others can be incorporated into a larger unit plan. We carefully selected this group of lessons to provide a variety of different kinds of projects, tools, media, and approaches for seventh grade science lesson plans. Most importantly, we've seen that using our creative lessons helps drive exciting learning outcomes for all students.

How about teaching cell communication through an infographic assignment? Or teaching DNA and protein communication by having students produce a quick video? What about harnessing student interest in civic action with social media posts to educate the public about climate change? All the seventh grade science projects in this collection have exciting possibilities, with creative learning applications infused into every resource you see here. In addition, you can easily adapt these materials to other topics and align them to your particular standards or school context, no matter what time of year it is or what content you're teaching.

To ensure pedagogical rigor and engagement, we co-created these materials with expert educators just like you. Together, we designed these lessons to make science magical, fun, and engaging for every student in every classroom. These lessons include strategies and ideas teachers have successfully implemented in their very own seventh grade science curriculum. Creative applications of science content challenge students to apply knowledge in new ways by asking them to express themselves through a combination of images, video, and audio.
