Illustrator Landscape

Assessment Published 1/22/18 Last updated on 2/28/20

My Visual Design curriculum follows along with the Learn Adobe Illustrator Text. I like to sprinkle fun projects throughout to allow students to be spontaneous in using their skills.

After chapter 13, using only the tools learned thus far in the course, students create a Landscape! Students have the 2-hour class period to complete the project and may consult their text and classmates.

Here are the requirements:

  1. Choose a landscape - camping, mountains, home, beach, roadway, whatever.
  2. Create shapes using shape, reshape, shapebuilder, pathfinder, hand-drawn, live paint, gradient, blends, symbol, pen, and pencil tools.
  3. Color everything.
  4. Arrange the shapes into a landscape.
  5. Have fun!
  6. Save the file appropriately.
  7. Upload to the dropbox.

The more you demonstrate your ability to apply newly acquired skills and the more complex your monster, the higher the points you'll earn.

Worth: 50 points
