Movie Trailers

Project Published 3/27/19 Last updated on 4/24/19

This project is one of the last projects the students complete for the year, which is why it covers most of the Exam objectives. The students use multiple programs to complete this project including; Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop.

This project starts with the students watching and researching Movie Trailers. They then write out what they liked/disliked about the trailers they watched. We then have a class discussion about what movie trailers they enjoy and what it is about them that makes the students want to see those films.

After this class discussion the students will start to plan out their Movie Trailer. I have them write out detailed outlines of their project. Once their outline is approved they are then allowed to check out equipment and start filming.

Once they are finished filming they will start the editing process. They will use Premiere and After Effects to complete their project. The students will also use Photoshop and Illustrator to make their Production Logos.
