Introduction to Adobe Illustrator

Technical Tutorial Published 5/28/18 Last updated on 2/28/20

Here is a resource that I used successfully with my Yr 7 Technology (Mandatory) class to introduce them to Adobe Illustrator. It starts by explaining the difference between bitmap and vector images and then has three tutorials for them to follow, including video tutorials. They progressively get harder as they introduce new techniques and tools to the students.

Here is a link to the online version I uploaded to "Publish Online" from inside Indesign

The Interactive PDF below works well, but you will need Flash installed to play the videos.

This is a good jump-start for learning Adobe Illustrator before progressing to new tools and techniques.
