Dia de los Muertos

Presentation Published 1/16/17 Last updated on 2/28/20

I live in a city and county that is the most multi-cultural diverse county in the world! Houston truly is an international city and I love having the chance to share that diversity with my students and other teachers.

I did this in the Adobe Digital Creativity program after the course was completed. I wanted to make sure and apply what I had just learned to an actual video that I could share.

This video goes through all the customs surrounding Dia de los Muertos.

In Houston, the holiday is celebrated on November 2nd. If the this date falls on a week day, the celebration can carry on into the weekend. Last year the celebration lasted 3 days!

In Mexico it's a national holiday.

This is great Dianne. You should consider creating a similar project for your students to do - and if you do please share with us!!!
