To produce quality images for the web, students need to understand how digital images are created and then learn and apply essential graphic design principles. In this unit, students learn to create, modify, and optimize a variety of digital images. They compare image file size and quality during phases of production. Students will learn to use Adobe Fireworks CS5, Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Adobe Illustrator CS5 to create and optimize images and graphics for the web.
This is the first unit in the Adobe Digital Design: Foundations of Web Design curriculum.
This unit maps to the ACA Web Communication with Dreamweaver CS5 Certification Exam objectives.
