FREE WEB HOSTING

Web Link Published 7/4/14 Last updated on 8/3/18

What is SPOKE?

Spoke offers simple, user-friendly web hosting for students and faculty. What is web-hosting? It's an online service that lets you build a place to put things online—your portfolio, your class assignments, your blog, your online resume, whatever.

Why should I?

It's important for any student to be online today. We help you create an awesome website to showcase your work and publish your ideas. Because graduation is sweetest when you're armed with a website you can show off to any potential employer.

How Now?

Don't worry—we like to keep things simple. If you're a student, sign up here for an account. If you're an instructor, get your free account. If you're an educator, we provide institution programs that make this available for a broader number of students. Then you're set to go—and you'll enjoy plenty of tools, tutorials, and tech support along the way. You don't even need to know how to code.

Here is the link, I'm not sure about the specifics but it sounds like something I will look into.

Presentation (Requires you to send them some information if you want to see it) If this is too much take a look at the above info and links to decide if this might be for you.

There is no commitment on your part to pay anything out of pocket! They do make a pitch to you about adding students to your schools portal for a $5 a month fee if you want to provide students with blog or website of their own. They state you can use your free website however you want, personal or educational. You get a free domain name along with free hosting. From the information that I have received the site is forever.

I have had mine for about 4 months now, so far I'm not totally sure what I want to do with it, as I already have a site for my class that I use.

I also offer free hosting for educators, who can issue school codes for their students to use when signing up! Tons of free videos tutorials as well. Check us out.
