Pop Art Photoshop

Andy Warhol was interested in the commercial production of his artwork. He was also fascinated by celebrities and how they were seen by the public. For this project, student create their own Pop Art project in Adobe Photoshop. They have to find a celebrity that interests or fascinates them to edit in Photoshop.

​Thanks - we have been doing this assignment with our Digital Photo students - they really like the PDF file instructions and activity - we have the print media / graphics area so the 2nd year students have the option of screen process printing with photo stencil using a direct photo emulsion this year - they learn how to do color separations with the layers, create film positives with an FX overlay, print film positives with ink jet film and large format printer, work with photo emulsion, and screen printing procedures - we are going to be printing T-shirts and Warhol style large posters for hallway and art show display

Hard to believe that anyone has not done this with their students but still fun! Hopefully everyone purchased those cool Campbell soup cans a few weeks ago that were very Warholish.
