Visual Design CS5: Business Cards (British English version)

Project Published 8/13/10 Last updated on 5/16/18
It can be exciting to get and use a business card, especially the first time. Often, however, people don’t have control over the design of the card that represents them. In this project, students create a business card using Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe InDesign CS5, and Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. In the process of creating their business card, they learn about typography and layout design. Students also investigate how tone, audience, and purpose impact design decisions, whether they’re representing themselves or an organization. Finally, students engage in a formal review and redesign process to help them improve and expand their design skills. This is the third project in the Adobe Visual Design: Foundations of Design and Print Production curriculum.

This project maps to the ACA Visual Communication with Photoshop CS5 Certification Exam objectives.
