Getting started with ColdFusion 2016
This course will guide you through the process of transforming a static HTML / CSS website into a fully dynamic data-driven application using Adobe ColdFusion 2016 and ColdFusion Builder.
After a short introduction into which you will learn the differences between a static and a dynamic request, you will connect ColdFusion to a database in order to query the database for content and output that content on the web page.
After that, you will use your ColdFusion site to add new data in the database and to update existing data in the database. This will allow you to provide additional services to your site visitors such as maintaining their user profile and allow them to register to the site.
You will then learn how ColdFusion can help you speed up the development of your application by applying some very efficient code-reuse techniques.
At the end of the course, you will add security to your application and manage the user sessions.
In the last chapter, you will build the administration section of your site to let non-technical users add and modify the content of the site.
