Wendy,
These are the _exact_ objectives for the state EOCs. I just combined Domains 1 & 2 for each since they are nearly identical. Please note that these are the state objectives based on Adobe software from versions CS5, CS5.5, CS6 and CC. That's fine IF you use those versions of the software and mainly worry about the state EOC. I believe Certiport is phasing out the CS5 exams, so the state objectives and the CS6 and CC certifications should still match.
Since _everyone_ in NC should be using the latest versions of the software (CC 2015), those objectives have changed for certification, but as far as I know, NOT for the state, so they do not match.
According to what I understand about our courses, we are teaching _certification_. From that perspective, I don't teach my students anything for the state EOCs. I concentrate on getting them certified so they won't even have to take the state EOC. Visual Design is the most difficult because according to DPI, a student has to be certified in ALL three (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) to be exempt from the state exam. Certiport has NO CS5, CS5.5, or CS6 certification exams for Illustrator and InDesign, so teaching to the state objectives makes no sense to me. I'm updating the objectives for the CC 2015 certification exams and passing them on to all NC teachers teaching the Adobe Academy classes( Visual Design, Video Design, and Digital Design). BTW, are you a member of the NC Adobe Education portal?.

Hi Michael--

How close are these objectives to the state EOCs? I am very concerned with test content versus what is taught. Any insight?
