Package Design

Students will research and create a custom package design for their product. The end product will include a template with the package design, logo, marketing research, and color schemes; their package printed out and folded as a 3D prototype, and finally an original advertisement promoting their package/product. This project has three parts:

A. RESEARCH (what is packaging, product development report, marketing analysis)

B. PACKAGE DESIGN TEMPLATE (custom logo, color schemes, package prototype

C. PACKAGE DESIGN ADVERTISEMENT (advertisement of 3D package)

  • Photoshop

    Editing and compositing for photos, web and mobile app designs, 3D artwork, videos, and more.

  • Portfolio

    Create beautiful portfolio websites on desktop and mobile.

  • Illustrator

    Create beautiful vector art and illustrations.

-Paper/pens for thumbnail etches for package ideas

-Printer and paper for printing out illustrated packages so students can cut and fold to ensure package is accurate.

-Adobe Illustrator

-Adobe Photoshop (Optional. Depends if students want a photo advertisement)
