Spring into Action with Photoshop

Project Published 10/16/14 Last updated on 5/16/18

This was a two hour workshop that I did recently with some visiting year 4 and 5 students. We had a themed arts day and the students created animated GIFS celebrating spring. Students were given some basic information about gathering resources from Google Images and then proceeded to learn a bit about Photoshop CS6 using layers and the animation timeline. They used puppet warp to modify shapes and more advanced students also modified colours and added a few gradients.

I have uploaded an example on one student's work and the PowerPoint presentation I used to take the students through the process. You should be able to see the animation if you open it with any web browser.
