Getting started with video editing

Lesson Plan Published 11/11/13 Last updated on 11/14/18

Video editing is a major part of the video post-production process. Typically in post-production you capture video from a camera, view your raw footage, trim the clips for the best parts, sequence them on a timeline, and add transitions, titles, music, sound effects, and special effects. This activity introduces students to video editing and transitions.

Any time I try to download the assets it tells me that the page is unavailable. Could that be a problem on my end, or is that asset missing?

    Hello Casey,

Please try the link, "Download All" above. If you are unable to access, it could be your firewall for zip folders. Alternatively, you can try downloading each individually. The links are functioning successfully. Please feel free to let us know if you are unable to access.

Heads up - the Video transitions pdf actually downloads the effects guide, not transitions.
