Drawing Graphics with Illustrator

Digital Asset Published 9/17/14 Last updated on 5/16/18

I developed this lesson plan for the Train the Trainer course. Included with the plan is an illustrator file that can be used to teach the basic drawing tools in Illustrator. Since developing it, I have used it to teach the tools to my students and saw a drastic increase in understanding and ability. Students caught on to the tools faster than ever before and have come to really like illustrator. (I did base this design and development off of a template that was previously designed on the education exchange by Jesus De Dios).

Am I missing it, or is the Penguin template located elsewhere?

It is the 2nd artboard of the illustrator file.

I am going to use this with my Yr9 students next week, as we have just embarked on using Illustrator. This exercise will allow them to learn more about how to use the various tools. A quality resource that I'm sure will be of great benefit to all who, like us here will embark on an Illustrator project.
