Curriculum Published 7/26/10 Last updated on 5/16/18
The Adobe Digital School Collection is an amazing collection of software resources for K-12 students. It includes Photoshop Elements, Premiere Elements, Acrobat 9, Soundbooth and Contribute. Considered by some the “light versions”, I have found that this collection is perfect for middle school students, full of amazing capabilities and anything but light. In these days of tight budgets it is also extremely affordable! If your school just purchased the ADSC, or even if you have had it a long time and need some new lessons ideas, this presentation is for you. I have been teaching Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements, the cornerstones of the collection, since 2001. My experience is with students are in grades 6 – 8. Many of my lessons have been on the Adobe website for years and I would love to share more of them with you! I will walk you through the beginning projects that help get students familiar with the programs and then take you through several integrated Language Arts, history and science lessons. Also included will be lessons that are fun, but technically challenging, projects. We will conclude with ideas on how to use Acrobat 9 to create digital portfolios
