Your first Illustrator project: Design a logo

Technical Tutorial Published 7/30/13 Last updated on 2/28/20

Use vector shapes to create a logo that looks good on screen and in print. Vector art scales to any size—from business cards to billboards—without losing quality. First, you'll set up your logo project, then you'll learn how to use simple shapes to create more complex illustrations. Add color and text to make your logo stand out, and then fine-tune your artwork to get it to look just right. Finally, save your logo as a PDF that is ready for printing or sharing online.
