Website Design Term Plan

Curriculum Published 5/8/14 Last updated on 2/28/20

This is a 40hr website design term plan for Year 8 students. This includes a 10 week plan which links directly to 6 assessments and integrates 3 of the Microsoft 21st Century Skills (Real world problem solving and innovation, skilful communication and knowledge construction).

Although this particular plan looks at using a web 2.0 tool (Weebly) to construct the website, it is very easy to substitue in Dreamweaver instead. It is also easy to adapt this structure for students in Year 9 and 10.

Learning Intentions: At the end of this task students will be able to….

· Create and publish a website to solve a real world problem

· Storyboard a design for the website

· Skilfully communicate information to a target audience using a range of modes

· Construct new knowledge from old knowledge through a process of synthesis and analysis

Delete the last page - might want to upload as a PDF as well.

HI Paul,

This is a really great resource and we think it'd be really interesting if you thought of creating a syllabus for your plan? It's a relatively new feature on the Exchange and your plan would lend itself nicely.
