Tweened Animation in Flash

Project Published 4/5/13 Last updated on 5/16/18

This project was undertaken by students from Midhurst, England as part of their advanced studies in computing technology and follows a scenario set by the OCR exam board to produce an animated robot character that has to perform a few simple moves using tweened animation.

The pupils had to firstly design their robot in Illustrator before importing it into Flash to work on the animation.

Resources to support this process are included here and include example fla files and a step to step guide to support the students through the task.

Given current changes in the Adobe product portfolio, this project would now work well in Edge Animate, but as the school did not have access to this, Flash was used and proved to be a productive tool for the purpose.
