Using Adobe's Digital Publishing Suite to Create Interactive Thesis Books

Presentation Published 7/27/11 Last updated on 2/28/20
The School of Visual Arts MFA Design program launched in 1998 as an alternative to traditional Master's programs that emphasize form over content. Students are encouraged to create their own content using new media and develop a thesis aimed directly for a marketplace of goods and ideas. The Thesis Launch is the program's public exhibition and the culmination of work from the MFA Design students. The thesis projects are traditionally published as a pamphlet. Now, in keeping with the latest technology, the program will publish the thesis book for the iPad®. This session will include: - Designing multiple views for tablets - Adding interactivity and multimedia directly with InDesign® - Bundling content for devices using the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite - Presentation for Thesis Launch - Distribution using iTunes and Adobe Hosting

This presentation was part of the Adobe Education Exchange Live event that took place on July 27, 2011.
