Yearbook Spread Layout Rubric

Assessment Published 3/1/17 Last updated on 2/28/20

A rubric to assess students' creation of a spread for the book. Assesses their skills with the overall first impression, dominance, typography and alignment. I have editors and a managing editor use this rubric to assess yearbook staff members' spreads. They return the rubric, filled out, to the staff member so they can see the feedback and make changes to their spread. Once they are done making suggested edits, they return the rubric to me and I assess the changes they made and give the final overall grade.
