Video Production workflow (Creating, Editing and Exporting video using Adobe Premiere Pro) – High-School curriculum oriented

Assignment Published 3/26/15 Last updated on 3/1/20

The Learning objective is:

At the end of the Professional Development Session, educators will be able to identify the basic tools of Adobe Premiere for importing, editing and exporting video.

Participants will identify basic elements of the Adobe Premiere Pro interface GUI (Graphic User Interface)

The sequence of skills is divided in 3 moments

a) Importing material

b) Working with material

c) Exporting material

What will they be working on exactly?

Once they are grouped in pairs by level of comfort with technology and interest level. I will ask educators to create a high-school promotion video. This video must show, what our school offers, (arts, sports, music, science, plays), etc.

They will find multimedia elements in a Project Folder. And they will be asked to explore and organize this content in Adobe Premiere.

What assets are they importing?

In the project folder, they will find some high school footage I recorded earlier, background video animations, background music and recorded voice audio.

What project are they creating?

In this guided practice, they will create a school promotion video.

What type of task or project would motivate your participants here?

I will ask them to reflect on how Adobe Premiere, would help to their course.
