Technical Tutorial Published Mar 24, 2015 Last updated on Jun 6, 2017

Cool titles make your movies look even more professional. In this beginner-level session, technology educator Jason Carthew will teach you how to create an animated 3D title for chroma-keyed video footage with Adobe After Effects—the industry-leading animation and creative compositing software.

About the presenter

Jason Carthew teaches the Industrial Technology: Multimedia courses for years 9 through to 12 at Crestwood High School. He has trained teachers across New South Wales (Australia) in the use of Adobe products for teaching and learning. These courses focused on improving Flash, Premier Elements, Photoshop and Dreamweaver skills with the teachers. Jason has utilised his skills in the production of independent films such as the short film AIWU, which was shown at the New York Independent Film Festival and the feature film Dead Down Under (in post production). Both films relied heavily on Flash and After Effects to achieve the SFX components .
