This course aims to help K12 educators use the principles of great instructional design to become creative thinkers, apply their skills to designing innovative and engaging learning materials, and bring creativity into any class for all students. Whether you teach a media lab or a science lab, a history class or a literature class, this course will teach you to plan for creativity throughout your history, literature, math or science classes.

You’ll also gain access to hundreds of Adobe Express remixable templates to choose from to match lessons on any topic across grade-levels, so you never need to fear a blank canvas again!

In this course, you’ll hear from expert educators and creatives on how to design learning objectives that infuse creativity into your class, and view examples of creative learning outcomes in math, science, history, literature, and much more. You’ll also explore how Adobe’s creative tools can help you achieve your creative learning goals, irrespective of your level of technical expertise. Finally, you’ll learn where to find additional support, either through Adobe’s free online learning materials or the wider Creative Educator Community.

After taking this course, you, as an educator, will understand how to:

  • foster creative learning outcomes in your class;
  • scaffold and sequence creativity in your class;
  • provide peer and teacher feedback on creativity;
  • personalize and differentiate creative outcomes for each student;
  • foster a diverse and inclusive learning environment for all students;
  • encourage sharing and communication through creative learning;
  • plan for creativity through online or distance learning;
  • choose the right Adobe tools to help students express their creativity.

The learning content in this course will take about 3 hours, and includes an assignment which is a requirement for achieving your Adobe Creative Educator Level 2 badge). By completing the assignment and marking this course as complete, you will receive a digital badge for this course and a certificate for 3 hours of accredited professional learning, and begin the process of acquiring an Adobe Creative Educator Level 2 badge.
