Course Overview

“NOTHING BREATHES LIFE INTO STATIC CONTENT BETTER THAN THE USE OF MOTION GRAPHICS.”

This five week Motion Design course aims to meet the needs of educators wishing to gain higher level skills with animated graphics.

“Motion graphics is a digital technique that combines pictures, words, sound and video. Examples of motion graphics abound online and in real life, from the credits in Hollywood motion pictures to keynote addresses…...Motion graphics combine the languages of film, animation and graphic design. Combining different creative elements like typography, illustration, logos, shapes and video. They are then animated or moved in a way that tells a story.” Al Boardman AGP Guest Expert and Motion Designer

Most of the times a voice over is recorded and a lot of complicated sentences are being spoken. A motion graphic artist needs to explain what is being told with the right images, symbols and illustrations. But what images do you associate with a word? And how do you prepare the image to be animated in After Effects?

Over the course of this five week course we will be producing a simple piece of motion design that will be intended to take a complex idea and explain this over a 30 to 45 second period of time.

This course is part of a series of Adobe Generation Professional courses designed to help educators become creators, not just consumers, of digital media. Throughout the series, you’ll learn new tools and techniques, explore best practices for teaching and learning, and unleash your creativity to help drive student outcomes. Drop in for one or engage in many, but we guarantee this series will help you and your students take your digital skills and creativity to the next level.
