What is Dreamweaver?

Learn how to use Adobe Dreamweaver to create your first web page. First, you’ll examine the uses of websites in education and the advantages of Dreamweaver over “What you see is what you get” (WYSIWYG) website creators. You’ll then follow a series of step-by-step instructions and video tutorials to create a web page for your classroom, and you’ll create and edit your site using both the Code and Design Views. By the end of the workshop, you’ll understand how HTML and CSS code work together to define a website’s structure and appearance.

Learning Outcomes:

In this workshop, you’ll:

  • Explore how teachers and students use web pages to organize and share information related to learning.
  • Learn and practice the basic functions of Dreamweaver.
  • Create your first single-page website by creating and modifying HTML and CSS code using both Code and Design Views.

Prerequisites:

No prior experience with Dreamweaver is needed.
