Tips for better composition

Most designs — from resumes to presentations to social media graphics — combine multiple elements like background colors, images, and text. No matter how well-designed the individual elements, a design works or doesn’t largely as a result of how it’s all put together. Designers use the word “composition” to describe the act of putting things together artfully. This workshop focuses on how to compose better, more appealing, and more effective designs.

Over the course of this workshop, you’ll:

  • Review the basic rules of composition to help you with any design.
  • Use Adobe InDesign CC to create a sense of unity using different elements.
