About this course

Adobe Education Train the Trainer is a free online course designed to equip all education trainers with the knowledge and skills to successfully design and deliver professional development.

Working with a collaborative community of educators, you will explore the importance of creativity in education and apply best practices in adult learning theory and professional development design. At the end of the course, you will have a broad array of skills with Adobe products and a well-structured professional development plan that you can implement in your own classes and training.

What will I learn?

  • Become a more confident user of the Adobe apps.

  • Develop and practice your own product training for fellow educators.

  • Examine the importance of creativity in education and hear from fellow educators who are successfully using technology to foster creativity in their students.

  • Explore fundamental Adobe Education resources that you can use to support the educators in your professional development audiences.

  • Review best practices in professional development design and create a professional development plan for your audience.

Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at education trainers working in primary, secondary or higher education and is the first part of becoming a recognized AET. Some prior experience with Adobe tools or digital media technologies is expected.

How long is the course?

The course runs for eight weeks, starting on 16th April 2018 and should take about 75 hours to complete. All coursework must be submitted by 15th June 2018.

From week 5 participants may select from any of the Creative Cloud desktop or mobile apps to focus their training plan on.

What will I receive when the course ends?

  • An Adobe Train The Trainer digital badge and certificate.

  • Access to the private Adobe Education Trainer group on the Adobe Education Exchange.

  • Access to the Adobe Education Trainer toolkit, which you can use to deliver training at your institution.

Class 5 Planning your training proposal Plan your training proposal featuring Adobe Creative Cloud and or Adobe Mobile Apps.
Class 6 Research and prepare for your training Research and build the background for your training session. Decide on your outcomes and learning objectives for your training session.
Class 7 Create an explainer video. This week we will create an explainer video for our training session using Adobe Premiere Pro.
Class 8 Bringing it all together This week we will bring together all the elements of our training session into one document using Adobe InDesign.
