This free five week Graphics & Publishing course is aimed at teachers wishing to shift their understanding of graphic communication and publishing to the next level. The course focuses on core concepts of graphic design and publishing and aims to unleash the full potential of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign.


What to Expect

The course kicks off on Monday, September 4 and ends on Friday, October 20 2017. You may work at your own pace through the asynchronous content on the Exchange at any time during the course.

Live Class 1 takes place at the following date and time: Tuesday September 5

We anticipate that successful completion of this course will require a minimum 25 hours of your time. After successfully completing this course, you will receive a digital credential that states that you successfully completed 25 hours of professional development.

Class 1 We’ll focus on how to get the most from this course, how to use the course platform and how to participate in the live classes. Download the required software and get started with Adobe illustrator.
Class 2 Learn the fundamentals of graphics and illustrations and the design theory behind creating impactful graphics and illustrations. Get started learning how to use Adobe Illustrator for creating graphics and illustrations.
Class 3 Learn the essential skills in Adobe Illustrator and continue refining your graphics and illustrations.
Class 4 Continue to hone your technical skills and begin to explore how to apply your new knowledge to your classroom.
Class 5 Reflect on your learning in the course and celebrate the work of your peers.
