Type Self Portrait

Project Published 8/19/18 Last updated on 8/19/18

Create a self-portrait using ONLY typographic characters. See attached

Your page size should be 8.5" x 11". with 2 artboards. One for the portrait and one for the list of fonts used.
You may:
use words as long as they have relevance to you
use any characters found in the typeface you have chosen
use a photograph as a template only
You may NOT:
manipulate or deform the letterforms until they are unrecognizable
use any color other than black and white
use any raster information
Give some thought to this project. The final project should be reflective of you and your personality. It can be somewhat abstract but should be obvious to others that it is you. Think about your identity as a person, a student and an artist. Study your face and its unique characteristics.
What to submit:
Delete the original photo, convert the type to outlines and upload the Illustrator File
You will present your portraits the day after this assignment is due.
