Where would I find study material about the "Setting Project Requirements" and "Understanding Digital Images" objectives?

Thank you!

Adobe Education

Posted on 10/30/17 5:17:53 PM Permalink

On this page - the activities under Design, Project Management, and Research and Communication are designed to align with those objectives. Additionally, I would look at the overall Visual Design curriculum introduction and the entire curriculusm to see how the projects align to the objectives:

Specifically, this activity will help you with Understanding Digital Images.

Thank you for this resource. The first page states that the areas below are included in this study guide:

  • Topic areas and objectives for the exam.
  • Links to practice tutorials and files.
  • Practice exam items.

How ever, I can not locate the last item, "Practice Exam Items." Will this section be added in the near future?

Adobe Education

Posted on 7/27/17 9:57:07 PM Permalink

Hi Kat,

Thank you for pointing this out. I have updated the study guides to reflect the absence of these items. Once we have practice exam items to share we will update the guides.

In the meantime, if your students complete the tutorials, they will also practice completing many of the tasks that are tested in the exams.

Thanks again for your feedback, and please let us know what you think of the other aspects of this guide.

Adobe Education

Hi Everyone,

With the help of members of the Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) and Adobe Education Leader communities, we have updated these study guides. These guides now link to the most up-to-date Adobe Photoshop CC documentation and tutorials related to the Adobe Certified Associate Visual Design Using Adobe Photoshop 2015 CC exam.

Additionally, the Digital Careers Teaching Materials have been updated and organized to help you find the resources you need to help you prepare your students for this and other ACA exams.

We hope that these materials prove to be useful for both you and your students.

Hi Everyone! To get something that covers everything for the ACA- look for something that is directly pointed at the ACA. Classroom in a Book isn't aligned to the standards, but the LEARN series of books from Adobe Press is!

As Blake mentioned below, ACATestPrep is also another option for curriculum that is Approved Courseware for the ACA and used by many of the top certifying centers in the world! (thanks for the props, Blake!)

I've done the practice exam, and I can manage the practical questions about actually using Photoshop, but the theory questions are confusing.

I believe the Exam Guide is still incorrect in the Review folder made available in the bundled contents folder. I found this and updated it myself, but it should probably be updated there at some point too.

There is nothing in this exam study guide that you won't find in the help pages or the Classroom in a Book series. Furthermore, 2 out of 5 domains are NOT covered! I have put together an exam guide that covers all of the domains. It includes an interactive examEngine that you can use to study, review, and practice. More details can be found on the website.

Hello, I've downloaded the ACA Photoshop CC Exam Study Guide which is very useful to me but where do I obtain the Practice materials with image assets? It's not on the Visual Design Curriculum Guide and hopefully not the same images as on the cs6 version. Please add link. Thank you?

Hi dom - Unfortunately, we do not publish image assets for the practice materials. Please use your own images in your practice for the exam. Thanks for your understanding.
