I have been teaching graphic design and video production for a long time. This year I am teaching photography for the first time. I don't have any storage for photography camera and gear, so I need some suggestions. Video cameras are larger and in large bags, so I just have heavy duty shelving for the video gear. Photography cameras are smaller and if we are shooting during class a lot I don't need the cameras to always be in bags. I am looking for a solution to store cameras sans bags (or bags next to them... Read More

I am looking for a recommendation for a mouse or tablet that would be suited for students with disabilities related to motor skills. I get several students each semester in my graphic design courses who struggle with using a standard mouse or tablet.

I am looking for a picture book InDesign children's picture book template for my 8th graders. They will be doing an assignment where they create a computer information picture book for younger students. This is an introductory assignment for InDesign and I don't want the students main focus to be on how to set up a book in InDesign. Instead, how to work with a template and learn about computers. I am not skilled enough to create one myself and have not found any online that have a cover page & Inside... Read More

I see some great potential for using some of the simpler Adobe apps in the library. What ideas do you have for using these products to promote the library and what it offers?

I have 30 years advertising experience and have mentored and trained hundreds of employees but never taught a class. I will now be joining University of New Mexico where I just moved to teach Graphic Design and Intro to Web Design. Any pointers on how to speak to young folks who are paying to learn vs being paid to learn ( in the filed training is PAID to learn VS college is PAYING to learn) I'm a bit nervous about the approach but not sure I need to be :)

Hello, I work for the University of Stirling. I was wondering if anyone here was using Adobe Spark in HE? I have been trying to find out what the options are for a site licence for Adobe Spark. However, the educational options seem to only apply to schools, and there appears to be no discounted option for universities. I was wondering if anyone on here is using it in a university or college? If so, what type of licence do you have? We would like to make it available to all our students, specifically... Read More

Hi everyone! As we prepare for another semester at TAFE we are on the lookout for 'live briefs' which can enrich the learning experience for our students and provide actual projects which can be added to our assessment strategy. We generally like to contribute our creative skills to causes (environmental, health related, socio-economic issues etc) and non for profit organisations so if any of you can suggest or have knowledge of any such opportunities both here (in Australia) or abroad (if applicable) I... Technology in the classroom has become an important tool for lesson reinforcement. It exposes students to a vast amount of information and gives them hands on experience on a skill that will be used in the future in college and in the workforce. It is safe to say that basic computer skills are a must for a successful career. Adobe is no longer just a program in which to access or edit PDF files, but it has evolved to providing programs that will help a small business or a classroom. As a future middle schoo... Read More

Hi, I'm Annie White . I'm in the MAC Program K-6 Education. I have a little experience with Adobe Spark. I like Adobe and Adobe Spark. I put together a Movie Trailer once to introduce a children's book by using Adobe Spark. Is Adobe Spark a good vehicle or is there a better product to help third graders implement pictures from their cell phones of a community project and pieces of their Power Points or Google Slides and other work to compile a combination of work for a Scrapbook or Scrap board Portfolio?

I am new to this community, and I am intrigued by Adobe Premier Rush. There is a free course coming up titled "60-Second Documentary" that would be great for my teaching subject- Social Studies. My question is: Have you ever incorporated Adobe Premier Rush into your lesson (SS in particular), and have you ever assigned students to create their own video(s) using Adobe Premier Rush? If students have created a video, how was their response to this particular technology resource? Was it difficult to... Read More

I teach at a small University that does not currently have a student publication. Apparently several have tried but were not successful. There isn't a budget but students need an outlet for expression and experience. I would like to get a "publish online" or PDF publication up and running. I am looking for words of wisdom in pitching this to the current administration as well as student publication success stories at your institutions. Thank you in advance.

We have been working with Adobe Creative Cloud Student licenses this past school year. It's changed the way we have taught our classes and really created a student-centered learning experience where the students can learn in any environment, not just in the computer lab. One issue we've come across as our school year ended was what happens to student work in Creative Cloud - especially Portfolio upon graduation? We really want to use Portfolio for our students Digital Portfolios - but ended up using Adob... Read More
