InDesign in Graphics Australia

In the subject graphics in Queensland there have been a lot of changes with more of a focus on presentation and design. I am keen to teach and get students to use InDesign instead of Microsoft programs. Have you had success with this and do you have any teaching resources developed?

When I first started teaching design, it was with Microsoft Word. What a pain!!! Laying out a poster design in Word, for example, is a nightmare. InDesign is SO much better to work with, although it's a little more complicated. When I first started teaching, I used the Classroom in a Book series. https://www.amazon.com/Adobe-InDesign-Classroom-Bo...

I also recommend the ACATestPrep series http://acatestprep.com or https://www.amazon.com/Learn-Adobe-InDesign-Digita... if you're trying to certify your students.
