I have used Captivate before, but very slightly new to Robo Help. Would like to know more?

I use both Captivate and Robohelp but facing business education, logistical and security work, the use Robohelp for search words or videos of in-built Captivate in Robohelp facilitating searches. Another big factor and output to HTML5 and PhoneGap both Captivate and Robohelp.

Personally, I have used a number of different technologies (including Captivate and Presenter from Adobe, but not RoboHelp). I have decided to settle on Captivate as the main platform that I use form this point forward. First, it offers a wealth of interactivity. Second, you can do a fair amount of "programming" with scripts. I am finding this to be a very flexible platform. I also like that one can generate HTML5 output so you can more easily incorporate it in web pages. I know the HTML5 is not perfect, but it is reasonable.

I have used both. I have been very successful with Captivate. I do not have version 7 but I understand that it has many improvements. Version 6 is great. I especially like that the content can be delivered for many different formats and screen sizes for online content. In K-12, I find that there as so many schools that do not have the most current and updated equipment that trying to deliver online had many challenges. Quite often I have to export to CD and deliver the old fashion way, but it worked without worries about browsers, plugins, and java script errors. It is very easy to learn and use.
