Using tripod, increasing ISO, longer shutter speed, using flash or flashlights, turning on all lights that possible can make both photos and videos better.

Keep windows out of the background. I have many 9-12 students that seem to always find the window and washout the clip.

Good camera operation and lighting is essential to minimizing poor video quality. Shooting extra footage during each scene also provides editors with "backup" that can be used to overcome poor shots.

one of them you must use main light to fill light for scene after that use artistic light to distribute high lift or shadow as you whish
