This issue with the under 13 students seems to be a big issue and looking at all these posts the resolution to it is slow in coming. Creating one shared account may seem ideal for Adobe but clearly, you are not educators. I teach K-5. I don't want my 5th graders going into an account they share with Kinders and deleting their hard work just for fun. (Yes, they do that.)

Why not Create an actual Student/Teacher Classroom? Then teachers can sign up and add students to their classroom. or students can join the class with a code which then creates their account. Then, students can save their work to their account which is a branch off of the teacher's account. The teacher has access to everything to monitor students.

Schools using Chrome for EDU blocks students from using other accounts to get to sites. They have to use their GAFE account. I love Adobe Spark but Adobe's suggestions for getting under 13 aged students in is unrealistic and I don't even know how that complies with FERPA and COPPA laws. I would be afraid to do that myself without talking to my district first.

I agree completely, and this has taken us much too long to resolve.​

The good news is that we are close to exactly what you want, an institutional deployment that uses student logins (like GAFE) and which is compliant with COPPA etc. We are not ready to roll this out broadly yet, we are still testing, but it's close, truly.

​I've seen a lot of great ideas for implementation. Today my students were charged with creating a word card, starting with "Swift Playgrounds is ... " they should finish the sentence and create a post that suits the statement. Then we'll post to Instagram.

​I am going to work with one of our science teachers that teaches environmental science and who is in charge of our Shakespeare Garden. Together we are going to teacher Adobe Spark to her student to they can create online journals and video that reflect their work in the garden and about the lessons they learn in class.

​I have used Adobe Spark Video to have my students create digital stories in my Portuguese language classes. We have used Adobe Spark Post to create "ads" for our ideal jobs and we have used Adobe Spark Page to make e-portfolios on topics on interest from the Portuguese-speaking world.

​I teach Public Speaking at a community college. In my face-to-face class I ask students to use a presentation aid such as PowerPoint or a Prop to develop a speech to persuade. For my Online class, I have looked for a movie maker application, but most are complex with a steep learning curve. This fall I will ask students to try Adobe Spark for this assignment. I will ask them to make a video project and when they Share, to download it as a MP4 video, then upload it to YouTube so that the link can be shared with the whole class. This aligns very well with the preliminary planning I ask them to do before they create their PowerPoint presentation. Once they learn to use this direct online software, I think they will used it in many other situations.

​I also just discovered Adobe Spark. It is very user friendly and I plan on using it as part of my HyperDoc to learn vocabulary for the Branches of Government. Also might use it for students to show their understand of the 3 week unit on How government can influence our lives.

If possible, I'd have students use their own accounts, that's always the preferred option as it prevents students stepping on each other's toes.

Out of interest, what are you using for accounts and authentication? We're close to being able to test using Google logins.

My third-grade teacher uses Spark a lot and has simply created his own account that his students log onto. He manages their content and sharing. The students love the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge.

​We are working on allowing under 13s to log in with their own account, it's a top priority for us. For now, however, under 13s cannot create their own accounts. The solution, as per the Spark EDU Guide, is to create a new shared classroom account. And yes, to answer the question below, all student wotk will show up in the Projects screen - some teachers love this as they have a single place to view all projects, others don't as it allows students to see each other's work. This is not ideal, we know, but it's the reccomended way to use Spark with minors until we support under 13 logins. And again, true under 13 support is a priority and is in the works.

Ben, Thank you for making this a priority. I wouldn't mind having a shared account for my students, but I would like it to be separate from my own account. Please notify educators as soon as you all have a solution!!

​The ​Adobe Spark Guide for Schools and Educators can help you with the under 13 issue - download the PDF from that page. In there it offers the following about logins as well as recommendations for publishing student work:

Adobe Spark requires an account and login. Logins are used to sync content

across devices as well as to backup content to our cloud storage. Children under

the age of 13 are not allowed to create their own Adobe ID and so they will

need to sign in with an account created by and supervised by a teacher or

parent. Sign in with social media accounts is also supported.

Does this mean we create another account with Adobe and give all students under 13 the same log-in information? Does this mean kids will have access to all students' work since it is a shared classroom page? ​

I'm confused. When they said kids under 13 could use Spark if they used a supervised​ account, I thought this meant that I (as a teacher) could help my kids set up their individual accounts using a school created and supervised email. I was getting them to sign in with their Gmail for Edu accounts. But Adobe still asked for their ages, and then blocked if they were under 13.

My country doesn't have the same legislation blocking under 13's. Is there a way around the Adobe age block?

I teach 150+ kids, so getting them all to sign in with my personal account would be completely unmanageable.

Also, as a teacher of under 13's I would appreciate it if, when you set up your education accounts, you removed the options to share to Facebook, Twitter and other social media.

Under 13's are not yet allowed to create accounts, and we don't make exceptions for locales that may in fact allow this. For now, a shared classroom account is the only option. ​We are working on an option to allow minors to log in with their school accounts, but that's taking longer to happen than we wanted.

I am looking for an answer to that same question. So far? No luck. According to their guide, "Children under the age of 13 are not allowed to create their own Adobe ID and so they will need to sign in with an account created by and supervised by a teacher or parent.".

​We used Adobe Spark in my senior English class at Ames High School in Ames, Iowa, this year for "Project: Gratitude." Positive psychology studies show that cultivating gratitude leads to greater happiness, better health, stronger relationships, and an improved ability to deal with adversity. Students identified what they were grateful for, then used Adobe Spark to compose digital narratives expressing gratitude. They sent their compositions to the people who deserved their thanks and shared them on social media using hashtags - #gratitude, #grateful, #ameshighpride.

​Spark is amazing due to its versatility. I have used it for assessment pieces, extension activities and as a place for students to go when they have finished their tasks early. We have turned creative writing pieces into digital stories using Video, used Page to create a webpage that promotes tourism in Australia and used Post to create title pages, book covers and even Instagram posts from characters in a book. It is ideal for all tasks big,small and most importantly, creative.

the Spark Video and Post will have a strong practical application for social media and deign instruction while the Spark video has the most application in reading and writing class.

As an online instructor for Teacher Professional Development Courses in Utah, I'm always looking for ways to make my classes in the Canvas LMS more engaging. Rather than making a list of expectations that students have to read through, I will use Adobe Spark to make an interactive page with images that the student can scroll through. In addition, Adobe Post images or "memes" of class expectations will serve as nice reminders in each module.

I teach Business Technology I to student 9-12. I always teach them a design website that will assist them with presentations, videos and papers. SPARK will be a great addition to my toolbox and a intend to start the year with this opportunity for the students. I am thrilled to have the resources available to use and intend to share whenever possible with fellow technology instructors.

I am pretty excited about Spark as there are so many ways you can use Post, Page and Video. My school is K-12 and I think all years could use it for teaching and learning.
I just had an experiment and made my first Spark Page for a Pop Art task in Art. I thought it was a fun way to get the students excited about what they are about to learn and show them some previous student work.

SparkPage - we have created pages to show a portfolio of our learning in Aboriginal studies and incorporated our SparkPosts and SparkVideos into this page. We have also created a Semester Portfolio with SparkPage.

SparkPost - we have used for just about anything. Posters to show - Sound patterns, ICT Troubleshooting, how we support each other in the classroom, front covers, certificates, profile pictures, etc

SparkVideo - so far mainly just for stories, but plan to explore another aspect of video next term.

I've used Adobe Spark with my English class to respond to a statement about an Indigenous film text we are studying in class. The question was compare and contrast the how Aboriginal culture is represented in the film and novel. Students write their response and then find and create visuals that support their responses. These are turned into compelling graphic stories and presented in Multi-modal fashion to the class.
