ACA Curriculum

Hi everybody,

This year our school wants to start with the ACA program for Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I hope to get replies from educators who have allready started this program with succes. The most important thing for me is how much time should be planned for all three courses. I've downloaded the complete curriculum 'Visual Design' from adobe's website but need to know the time needed te complete this program. This because of the other lessons the students have to follow.

I hope my question is clear and someone can help with this.

Thanx in advance.

ACA testing is available at my school, but I've yet to have a student elect to take it. I don't require it at all because it's fairly expensive and most of my parents see it as a "nice" thing to have. However, it's not attached to any college credits, which is the more popular things to do at my school. A neighboring district also has ACA testing available. They had one student take it last year that I know of. I think the curriculum is best done in about a year. The curriculum itself is very strong in my opinion. With some new state standards and mandates, I just don't know how much of it I will be able to implement. Not to mention, my courses are only a semester long. Good luck!
