Adobe Apps for Education provides an introduction to Adobe software applications, helps you learn what you can create, and inspires with ideas for sample projects using these tools.  The document categorizes the types of digital content that you can create with Adobe software applications and identifies which tools are best for creating different kinds of content. Each content category includes sample projects for beginner, intermediate, and expert Adobe users. Some projects include hyperlinks to tutorials on Adobe for Academics, Adobe TV, and the Adobe Education Exchange.  The document also includes an Adobe app glossary to help you easily identify the wide diversity of software applications Adobe offers. Student Reflection with Adobe FormsCentral

Posted on Sep 27, 2013 by Aaron Roberts Last Activity on Dec 14, 2013

I took one of the rubrics for a project that we do and turned it into a self-reflection form. The students will grade themselves and answer a reflection question. That reflection question can be changed, modified, expanded, deleted... whatever you want.  This is in Adobe FormsCentral, but it won't quite upload correctly to EdEx, so I included a PDF (that looks choppy, so it's not the best representation of the work) and a public off-site link to the form template file. The template is meant to be a web-form, not a PDF form because it includes a place for them to turn in their artwork files.

Infographics

Posted on Apr 24, 2013 by Judy Durkin Last Activity on Apr 2, 2014

Whew. Worked on this for a long time. There is so much that is involved in Infographics! If you haven't checked out the professional development for Infographics, do it - it is really great: http://edex.adobe.com/professional-development/workshop/creating-infographics/ So this is a unit that I designed to introduce students to infographics, the different styles, how to choose the right visual vehicle, and ultimately the task of developing an infographic on the world population of stray dogs. Included in the .zip file is: A 6-page student information packet with steps, tips, diagram, rubric, etc. And a 3-page unit-planning guide. Both are in interactive .pdf format with lots of hyperlinks, and also in InDesign .idml format so that you can revise and customize to fit your needs.  Please - I need your feedback. A project plan is never finished - with your help I will revise it and add to it to create something that will really inspire and invigorate students! Also, I have a self-guided In... Read More

Creating self-reflection submission forms for Photography using Adobe Forms Central

Posted on Apr 15, 2013 by David Olinger Last Activity on Oct 31, 2013

In this resource I share a form created using Adobe Forms Central for submitting digital images.  I use the form to help students think about and reflect on the various elements of style within their image.  I grounded these elements in a document from Tarek Bahaa's lesson on composition.  This is also a good way to collect student images to share them with the class and discuss their assessment of their image.  You can have the students defend why they ranked their images as they did.

Education advice

Posted on Mar 14, 2013 by Daniel Calderone Last Activity on Sep 5, 2013

I am trying to figure out what order is the best way to learn everything Adobe. I have started with Photoshop, Illustrator, and In Design. Where should I go next, and what is the best way to go about it if I don't have the ability to drive to a school and take classroom classes. Thank you in advance, as I want to learn every one of the Adobe products I subscribe to in depth. I am curious the recommended learning order.DanielCalderone514@gmail.com

Typography Test

Posted on Feb 25, 2013 by Judy Durkin Last Activity on Sep 18, 2013

This test was built in Forms Central - one of my favorite quickie Adobe Resources. It is a self-scoring exam (except for the written parts). Anyway, included in the .zip file is a .pdf of the form, .fcdt file (Forms Central Design Template). Just open Forms Central and open the design template. You can customize it and change it in any way you wish and it is ready for your students to tackle!Don't hesitate to let me know questions, feedback, improvements.
