You might need to edit your post and republish the video but thanks for the YouTube link which works fine. Many thanks for sharing the great tutorials.

Thanks Tim, I plan on creating an updated version of this using CSS and <div> based layouts instead of table layouts sometime this summer.

This is the best example on dreamweaver. I picked DW up a few months ago and haven't been able to find the beginner stuff that gets right in like this one does. This you tube video is awesome and it doesn't give you the borning history, and HTML life story before getting into the program. I hope you post more.

I agree with Greg. Your movie is very well done but tables are not used in modern web creation, unless you are going to convert the tables to CSS when done, but that seems to be the long way around. Perhaps you have a reason for teaching tables?

Interesting, I sometimes wonder if we get too advanced in our intro to web design course. We teach CSS right on the heals of html, as it is the only course we cover on web design in our art and design program. Some students run with it and do very good work, others are highly challenged. I'd be interested in seeing your syllabus, if you are willing to share it. I'm at gwendt@siu.edu.

Many schools are blocking YouTube. My son would type in "https:youtube.com" and get past his school's block.

Greg, you're absolutly right. And I do cover that in my more advanced classes, I just don't have a video for it. This is for creating a quick and easy site without haveing to learn CSS.

Very nice explanation that is easy to follow, but since tables are no longer recommended, perhaps a layout based on divs would be more appropriate.

Thank you for posting the link. I was able to download it. The tutorial was excellent! My book does not even cover this. Can't wait to see what else you have!

Sorry Tina, I hadn't even considered that YouTube might be blocked. Are there any unblocked video upload sites that I could put this on? Otherwise, I have a direct copy of the video available at:
