This is an Acrobat file containing four one-page articles. Every week, students read about and respond to articles about artists and art history. Every month a different literacy stem is addressed: summary, predict, infer, compare & contrast, cause & effect, analyze, evaluate. The writing assignment depends on which stem is addressed, so I have not included any instructions. I have included a .pdf of our school-wide writing rubric. I hope you find these useful. I am always on the lookout for articles that the students will find interesting. These are four of the articles that I use every semester.
