Description

Description: There are thousands of typefaces, some great and some not so great. One of the most important aspects in understanding the selection and integration of letterforms and type styles is just looking at different font families. The Project: The project is to create a series of caricature faces using only letterforms and bits and pieces of individual typefaces. Objective: To explore and understand the changing character and dynamics of various typefaces and their associated letterforms.

Thanks Angelique and Dena,

I hope the project works for you. I would be interested in seeing your results.

I have the students submit their project as a .jpg and then I put together a Javascript slide show for the final review and critique.
