Calling all Higher Education Students! The 2013 Adobe Design Achievement Awards is not open for submissions. This year the program offers portfolio reviews and opportunities for mentorships with industry professionals. There are 12 categories in 3 media areas across Interactive Experience Media, Video and Motion and Traditional Media. Each registrant may submit up to 3 entries in each category. Encourage your students to submit all applicable projects they created from May 2012 to now. There is an early semifinalist judging session for entries submitted by April 12, 2013. The final deadline for submissions is June 21, 2013. Category Winners receive cash prizes $2000 USD, and a two year subscription to the Adobe Creative Cloud and an invitation to attend the International Design Alliance Congress in Istanbul, Turkey in November. Each media area will have a grand prize winner who will receive an additional cash prize of $3000 USD.

Claire. Could you provide guidance/advice around how we might get our student leaders involved in getting the word out and drumming up submissions? I seem to recall Ron Callahan of SVA, NYC saying that they had a student who beat the bushes for submissions. Does Adobe recognize and support a student leader in this capacity?

This is a great opportunity for creative students. Media instructors should encourage their students to participate.
