I have used a smart board for 8 years. I use very few of the options that are included with it (handwriting recognition, notebook,etc). I do use it as a large track pad once and awhile. I take roll with an iPad as I walk around the room - very handy. The tool I use the most is classroom computer monitoring software. I have used several brands over the years, lanschool, Vision, Adobe Remote Desktop, and others. They are a great way to sen files to student computers for the days lesson. I also use their testing software to deliver tests.
